How the collect mechanic works
The pattern is simple, which is why it is so effective. During free spins, fish symbols land carrying a value expressed as a multiple of your stake. On their own they pay nothing. They pay only when a fisherman symbol lands in the same spin, collecting the value of every visible fish and adding it to the win. So the value of the round depends on two things lining up: how many fish are on the board and whether a fisherman is there.
The second element is the multiplier. In most games of this family each successive fisherman raises a multiplier that holds to the end of the round — the first collects at face value, the second doubles, the third triples and so on.
